Veteran character actor Bill Erwin, who has worked in the entertainment industry for nearly 70 years, has passed away at age 96. Bill Erwin was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work as Sid Fields on Seinfeld, and has appeared in over 200 films and TV shows.

Bill Erwin's credits include I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Who's the Boss?, Star Trek: TNG, and My Name is Earl. Bill Erwin died in his Studio City, California home on December 29, 2010.

Erwin worked as a character actor on several programs, including "The Twilight Zone," "Gunsmoke," "The Golden Girls," "Who's the Boss?" and "Growing Pains." However, Erwin is most notably known for his work on "Seinfeld."
