Billy Bob Thornton: Actor's Daughter Charged In Baby Death

Billy Bob Thornton is facing a new family crisis, his 29-year old daughter has been charged in the death of a baby left in her care. Amanda Brumfield was caring for a 1-year old baby when the child fell from a play pen, hitting its head.

Amanda Brumfeld claims that the baby seemed fine and continued laughing and playing after the fall. Brumfeld did not call an ambulance and did not take the baby to a doctor. Some reports say that she did call 911, but the baby's death has since been ruled a homicide and Brumfeld has been charged.

Representatives for actor Billy Bob Thornton had no comment on the death of the baby or the charges laid against his daughter.

Amanda Brumfield, 29, bailed out of jail Saturday afternoon.Ocoee police said she was babysitting a 1-year-old girl last October when she called 911 to report that the child had hit her head.According to TMZ.com, Brumfield is the oldest child of actor Billy Bob Thornton with his first wife, Melissa Gatlin.The child's death has been ruled a homicide and Brumfield is charged with felony child neglect.
