I listen and watch and pay attention to other people when they take the time to express themselves, because there is always something to learn, especially during a performance.
there was no talk about acting, merely a mention in the intro... 6 in the morning? maybe on your homeword Mr. Thornton... music historian? and he feels he should be treated as though he were Mr. Tom Petty... just talk about the music? ok, sure, just tell us when your ready for your closeup Mr. DeVille!
.... so focused on himself, he did not even realize he was thankfully and cleverly dismissed by the host just before the actual band began to play. Mr. Thornton actually moved to another seat when the band got up to play and sat down as if he were still welcome in the room..... The host had the grace to signal Mr. Thornton's most welcomed departure by expressing thanks and offering an expression of good fortune.
What I did manage to learn is the details get missed when a person makes that big a mess.
Dear Mr. Thorton, you leave no room for an audience, you waste your own time, and worse, you refuse to understand that no matter where you go, there you are.

bbt (noticed lower case ref. to his initials?!) is a grown up man with childish attitudes.
He still lives in 70's with dictatorship behaviour. He is trying to rise from ashes and become a musician without the help of his golden statue. That is a good trait, but please do us all a favour and don't compare yourself to Tom Petty!
Have you had a poutine while touring Canada? That would have thought you what real gravy is.
Be civilized,

If Tom Petty ventured into acting, and was doing an interview to promote his movie, you could be sure the interviewer would start by mentioning his huge accomplishments in the music business. What's wrong with that?
BBT proved he can't cut it in the music biz. It takes more than talent and strong material, which I'm not even sure he has. The artists need to develop a fan base base that will support him.
Just ask Willie Nelson, who has kept his uniqueness while being true to his fans for decades. Too bad you "don't know him", BBT.
I do feel sorry for the band members. They know they are one of many Honky Tonk bands, and are lucky to get out of the LA Bars. They also know that it was due one member's celebrity status, and wallet. You could see they sad look in their eyes during the interview as they watched their good fortune being flushed away.
BTW, I've always liked BBT work. I suspect he just got some bad "potted meat and french fried taters".

I cannot believe the audacity of Billy Bob Thornton. I hope the rest of the Boxmasters kick him out of the band. Imagine losing the following from an entire country. I will never, ever consider supporting the Boxmasters, or listening to them, as long as bbt is within it.
Perhaps what Billy Bob doesn't realize is that maybe he is the one who invokes no reaction from our audiences. I recently was at a Fleetwood Mac concert, and it was wild and wonderful! Blue Rodeo always makes us stand up and dance and scream! We are huge concert goers and we will never see or have anything to do with the previous ACTOR, Billy Bob Thornton. The Boxmasters would be much better off without him. Let's just see if he returns to Hollywood when the Boxmasters get rid of him. What will bbt do then???
Note to Billy Bob Thornton: The American audience is much smarter than you think they are, Billy Bob. The end to your career is very near. Goodbye Billy Bob and Bud Thornton!"

As miserable as his behaviour is, I worry for BBT. He looks like a train wreck in progress and I'd hate to hear he OD'd or killed himself. I really appreciate the acting work he's done and I'd like to continue to see his work in future. I truly hope and wish that Billy Bob works out the issues that plague him and make him such a miserable SOB. Meantime this cancellation is not that great a surprise. One might even have said it was predictable. It's too bad for the other BoxMasters, they're probably pretty ticked with their Main Man and his mercurial moods.

bbt "acted" like a spoiled child, .....er, ....sorry, .....ehem, ....let me rephrase that,.....bbt "seemed" like a spoiled child during the interview. I love it when "tough guys" claim that they are accustomed to playing in rough houses, where people throw things etc,...go on to complain that Canadians are too laid back and then...wait for it,.... bail when those supposed laid back Canuck’s boo and throw it right back at him, ....LOL... what a freakin hypocrite!. Good riddance!

This guy is a complete waste of airtime and space...what a douche to act like he did....Ghomeshi handled himself with class, he should have told him to f off, but he stayed composed. I felt so sorry for his bandmates....nice guys that don't deserve an idiot like him, I hope his music career tanks and no one ever picks this guy up for another acting job...what was his last role....drunk santa? Music historian...what a joke.

Me thinkest this is one badly botched stunt by BillyBob, like Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman. I dunno what they r tryin 2 accomplish behaving like this, some joke on the public----Andy Kaufman did anti-publicity type stunts and how did that work out for him? Not so good. Everyone hated him, and when he was actually dyong of cancer, nobody even believed him. The movie "Man on the Moon" and the song by R.E.M. Shows his follies well. Jim Carey does a great Kaufman, and Danny DeVito is awsome as agent.
I do feel so sorry 4 the Boxmasters, they r musicians whose careers have been damaged by this spoiled prima donna jerk.
Way 2 go BBT! To ALL CANADIANS: SO sorry, If we Americans could dis-inherit BBT, we would!
