Blagojevich Book Deal: Big Bucks to Expose Dark Side of Politics
Rod Blagojevich, disgraced former Governor of Illinois, has accepted a big bucks book deal to expose the dark side of politics. Blagojevich, who openly condemned Illinois politicians as hypocrites and liars in the days and weeks after he was impeached, will receive six-figures for his tell all book.
Blagojevich's as-of-yet untitled political expose is expected to be released in October 2009. In it he vows to reveal all the dirty dealings and immoral behavior of the politicians who ousted him from power.
Glenn Selig confirmed Blagojevich agreed a "six-figure" deal with Phoenix Books.
"He does not intend to pull any punches and will reveal information and provide insights that will at times be embarrassing to himself as well as to others," the publicist said.
He claimed "some people in high places" wanted to block the book.
After the impeachment, Blagojevich appeared on US talkshows and hinted at stories of infidelity and hypocrisy among politicians.
Since he was removed as Governor Rod Blagojevich has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing and has maintained his innocence. Blagojevich has even gone so far as to suggest that he is the victim of a mass conspiracy to remove him from power due to his radical pro-taxpayer politics.
Even though Blagojevich instantly lost his job after his Senate impeachment trial he has never been charged with any type of public crime or civil offense. His book is expected to name names and shine the spotlight on the shady behaviors of the politicians who removed him from power.
The allegation that Blagojevich tried to sell the Senate seat led to federal charges, as well as his impeachment and removal from office.
He has denied any wrongdoing.
Blagojevich will disclose information "that will at times be embarrassing to himself as well as to others," Selig said.
Slated for release in October, the book will published by Phoenix Books.

I'm fine with him writing a book. But the fact that he still denies any wrongdoing is pretty stupid. If he 'fessed up, and then exposed the rest it might go over a bit better.
As it is, some of the stuff in the book will be true, the mass-conspiracy stuff? I feel no pity if everyone conspired to remove one particularly corrupt official. So what if that happened?

Unbelievable, talk about a double standard here in relation to that so-called justice for all jazz. it's a fact, that the average taxpaying citizen- or- peasant, would inherit a filthy overcrowded jail cell for a very long time to come. yes, that would be our fate if any of us did half the crap this jerk has done. heck just call me naive or uneducated about this backward political system of ours, that apparently works two ways.
(1) if you're an elected official who holds a high office, you can do just about anything you please, from racketeering, extortion, to even money-laundering with no fear of being prosecuted to the full extent of the law {a kind of diplomatic immunity} for the chosen few.
(2) if any of us tried that, the police would arrested our asses in a hot second, I've seen it many times where i work. they don't hesitate to forcibly handcuff an employee right in front of his many coworkers. on occasion they'll resort to the use of excessive force too while hauling in a hard working individual who's a little behind on his ever increasing alimony payments. for the rest of us its off to jail without a prayer. for this lawless parasite, its a multimillion dollar book deal in the works, who could figure.
for some crime really pays

It will be interesting to see how popular his book will be. I think most people are sick of seeing him on every TV talk show.
