The sensationalized and ground breaking ultimate "king of Malaysian Blogger" Raja Petra has been freed last Friday due to his solicitors plead of hebeus corpus which the Malaysian high court ordered his released there after.

Raja Petra's website's Malaysia today has caused much truth and controversy that has affected Malaysia's culturally but the Hindraf protest to name one example.

His website and blog has an anti ISA banner, which is understandable because he has been detained by ISA for more than 50 days.

Raja Petra's website has stated that Singaporean Muslims likes Yoga and that it is a relaxing exercise.

Whatever news he chooses next time to write, it will certainly have audiences lapping it up like a thirsty person needing water. We shall wait and see.

'Great day'

Raja Petra's lawyer, Malik Imtiaz, described Friday's ruling as "historic", saying it was the first time a court had ordered the release of an ISA detainee since the government banned such rulings in 1989.

It was "definitely a wonderful step in terms of civil liberties in Malaysia", he said.

His words were echoed by Malaysia's human rights commissioner, Denison Jayasooria, who called it a "great day for human rights and fundamental liberties", according to AFP news agency.

He called for the ISA to be used only "where there is a real threat to national security".

Mr Raja Petra was arrested on 12 September under the ISA as part of a government clampdown on opposition voices.

It is a step towards change. But Malaysia has a long way to go with it's politics and Judicial system.
