Blondie Releases Video for 'Mother'

Blondie is back! Actually, Deborah Harry & Co. never really left. The video for "Mother" is now on Youtube (check it out below), and the seminal new-wave band's album Panic of Girls will drop in the UK on July 4, 2011 as part of a distribution deal with Future Publishing.

"Mother" was released as a way-in-advance free single last year. The official video reassuringly features a keytar. Panic of Girls is Blondie's first new studio album in eight years, and the first in 31 years to be recorded outside Manhattan. Deborah Harry is awesome forever, even though she could totally be my mom. Blondie's DIY ethos, part of the wide-reaching punk movement, went on to become part of Lady Gaga's DNA.
