The rumors of a Brad and Angelina break up have been greatly exaggerated, if their PR rep is to be believed. Despite months of rumors that the once super hot couple has cooled to one another, a spokesperson for the Jolie-Pitt family says that the famous Brangelina have not split.

Truth be told the rumors of a Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie break up are not unfounded. The couple, who have 6 children, have rarely been seen together in recent months. Brad and Angelina were once so inseparable that they openly used the Brangelina moniker to describe themselves, but not anymore.

Brad and Angelina have seen distant and uncomfortable when in public, and at the Cannes Film Festival, despite carefully planned photo-ops filled with grins, the pair were seen bickering when the cameras were off. Brad Pitt has also refused to talk about his relationship in recent interviews, a behavior he also adopted shortly before his split with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

In fact, more than one tabloid has reported that Brad Pitt ditched Angelina Jolie in New York to meet up with Jennifer Aniston. Angelina Jolie, who admits to falling in love with Brad Pitt while he was still married to Aniston, was not at all pleased to learn of the New York reunion.

The coldness some claim they see between Brad and Angelina at Cannes could be a reaction to that recent rendez-vous, or it could be signs of a break up to come. Either way, the truth behind the rumors, is that Brad and Angelina have not split... for now.

Rumors of a break-up began when a story in the National Enquirer stated that the couple, who are parents to six children, were planning to make an announcement of an "official" split.
