A sad story. She should
have had forty more years
of life and health.
Health officials say a Brazilian model whose feet and hands were amputated because of an infection has died.
Officials said in a statement early Saturday that 20-year-old Mariana Bridi's condition deteriorated overnight. She died at 2:30 a.m.
The Espirito Santo State Health Secretariat said in the statement she died from complications related to a generalized infection. It was caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is known to be resistant to multiple kinds of antibiotics.
Bridi had been in the hospital in the city of Serra in southeastern Brazil since Jan. 3. She fell ill in December and doctors originally diagnosed her with kidney stones, local media said.
Bridi was twice a finalist in the Brazilian stage of the Miss World pageant.

firstly,i cant understand how she caught this infection,since it is so rare...but more so, it is sudden and spread quickly...secondly,i was praying for her, but i was thinking that was she aware of what had happened to her when she was on life support, or was she sedated and unaware of what had happened to her...and had only realized if she revived back...because for such a beautiful woman (or for any person) it would be a setback to know all the loss after revival...so did she really know what had happened with her when she was on support?...i am touched and very sad...what griefs me is that how so much was taken so quickly...and the worst thing...in bits...why life gave her so much beauty and took it and her life away...i know bridi was a strong girl,if she revived i thought she would have pulled it through with support of her loving family...but realistically...i was shattered when i heard of amputations and the other emergency operation...she was robbed there and then...despite all the difficulty that she had to live if she revived...i hoped she could become an inspiration and lived for and with her family's support...i ask...where was god, what did she do so bad to deserve this,where was mercy,how could her creator let this happen silently when everything is under his control,and yet we were praying for her and doing all within our reach...that creator who gifted her with beauty that defined her life and gave it a specific purpose for modelling...yet the end is uncomprehensible...what has happened is terrifying,yet all i can do is to beg lord for mercy...one thing is for sure though...is she is in a better place now...and hopefully forever freed of any more suffering in her next births since she has had more than her share...
...its a puzzle...40 years or so of living a self-pity and dependent life after amputation...or a new life...how life tests us its unreasonable...i read so many mishaps daily here and then...but this one is close to me and i pray for her soul and feel equally grieved as any one else concerned out there...

The infection didn't start in her kidney, dumbass. It started as a common urinary tract infection. It was misdiagnosed as kidney stones, which is ignorant right there, because usually 20-year-olds don't get kidney stones. If it hurts to pee, it is usually a urinary tract infection, easily treated with antibiotics. But, apparently, some dumbshit at the hospital was lazy or stupid, and because of this, this beautiful woman with a whole future in front of her had to be mutilated and suffer before she died.
