We're at war in Iraq and Afganistan, the US economy is sliding into recession, a campaign for President is underway, global warming threatnes the planet, health insurance still eludes most Americans, cyber crime is on the increase, the Senate passes
major domestic surveillance legislation, ice snarls the eastern United
States...and here is what all of the cable news networks chose to
broadcast Wednesday morning: Congressional hearings on steroid use in
baseball.

At least the Weather Channel departed from the herd.

I thought the same thing. Your screen capture tells the story. The web site www.BreakingNewOrNot.com allows visitors to vote as to whether or not they think a story is truly Breaking News . This story got a no vote from me.
