Britney Spears' Circus Tour Brings in $24M in Three Weeks
Britney Spears' "Circus" tour has made $24 million in only three weeks according to Billboard concert grosses.
The tour, which opened in Spears' home state in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 3, has outsold the title album, Circus, by nearly $5 million.
Britney's Circus album, which has sold more than 1 million copies in the U.S., has generated roughly $19 million since it was released in early December
The tour features costumes designed by famed design duo DSQUARED and ticket prices ranging from $38 to $680. The tour has seen a bit of controversy, as with anything dealing with Ms. Spears; at her recent concert in Vancouver, BC she walked off stage due to ventalation issues a.k.a. various types of smoke from the crowd.
The tour ends in North America at the Bell Center in Montreal, QC on May 5 and then makes its way across the pond to London on June 3.
