Britney Spears Dad Calls Her Ex-Manager a Predator

Britney Spears' former manager, Osama 'Sam' Lufti, and an attorney, Jon Eardley, have had restraining orders issued against them by a judge today, meaning they have to stay away from the pop singer and her two sons for three years.

This was the conclusion of a trial that has taken weeks, and where lots of testimony were given from all parties involved. The two men are now not allowed to contact, threaten, or try to act on either the singer's behalf or on the behalf of her two sons, but not her parents.

Both Lufti and Eardley want to appeal the ruling, as they both said that Britney did not suffer any substantail emotional distress as a result of their actions.

Lutfi's attorney, Bryan J. Freedman, said evidence instead pointed to Spears asking his client for help.

"Never before in the history of the world has a restraining order been issued against someone who merely responded to cries for help," Freedman said.

The petition for restraining orders were filed in January by Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, who claimed that the two men were conspiring with Britney's ex-boyfriend and paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, to interfere in Britney's life. There is already a three year restraining order against Adnan Ghalib.
Britney has claimed in the past that she was scared of Lufti.
Jamie Spears' lawyer, Joel Boxer, said the restraining order request was "unusual," but was necessary to protect the singer from "people who I think are fairly characterized as predators."

Britney Spears never testified in the court against the men.
