Pop Princess Britney Spears kicks off her long-awaited Circus tour in New Orleans tonight, and fans lined up hours before door opened at the New Orleans Arena to buy merchandise and express their support for her first concert tour in five years.
"I love her," said 18-year-old Haley McInnis of Gonzales, La., wearing a circus-inspired ensemble that included a top hat and black high-heeled boots.
Spears has had a tough five years; she has been married, divorced, had two children, lost them in a custody battle and been to court to get them back and had her dad, Jamie Spears, oversee her personal and professional affairs.
But in the last year, she has bounced with the release of Circus, which has already sold more than 1.3 mmillion copies worldwide.
Her tour will take her to 27 cities in the US and then over to Europe in what is said to be a circus themed night of acrobatics, dance moves and Ms. Spears as the ringmaster of her own circus.

I wish there was a way to strap her and the other teeny tweeny whatever they are boppers to a rocket and fire them into the sun.
