Britney Spears May Cancel Her 2009 North American Tour

This story initially came up a few weeks back and it was reported that Britney Spears was looking to have her kids stay at homes that are close to tour stops in the US. The kids were going to be staying with Britney's father at homes in New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline had reached an agreement to, for a lack of better terms, rent the kids while on tour.

Britney would pay K-Fed more than $4,000 a week for each week she's on tour, and her ex would have his own apartment in each of the three home cities.

Federline's lawyers were upset with this agreement and have ordered Federline to not allow it to go forward. They feel that this agreement would lead to a new custody battle between the estranged couple.

This sold out 33-date tour kicks off on March 3rd in New Orleans and this news would be another disappointment for Britney fans all over North America.
