Bruce Springsteen announced that a death in the family forced him to cancel a concert in Kansas City just a few hours before it was meant to start. Lenny Sullivan, Bruce Springsteen's cousin and a member of his road crew for ten years, had died at Kansas City's Intercontinental Hotel. Lenny Sulivan died at age 36 of unknown causes; police are not treating his death as suspicious. It's not clear if Lenny Sullivan's death will cause Bruce Springsteen to miss the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert tomorrow.

Springsteen announced the death of Lenny Sullivan in a statement on his official website, which described the 36-year-old as "a warm and sensitive person" who was beloved by the band and crew.
