Officials from the Orthodox Church of Bulgaria have condemned Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Concert Tour and urged Bulgarians not to attend the Madonna Concert in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria

The Church of Bulgaria believes that Madonna is disrespectful and intolerant towards Christian symbols and rituals.

The powerful Church of Bulgaria has issued a statement expressing "disapproval and disagreement" with Saturday's event, and says the U.S. performer "openly violates" holy Christian symbols.

The Church's statement affects one of the largest concerts that Bulgaria has ever seen.  However, it looks like there is not much the Church of Bulgaria can do to stop the Madonna Concert.  Tickets are almost sold out and 50,000 are expected to attend the Madonna Concert at the Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia on Saturday, August 29.

It is interesting that her concerts are still banned. Good find.

It's great!  Nice one, Orthodox Church!  Who needs her anyway?  Certainly no one i know.  Bulgaria's in bad enough shape without the likes of her.
