California National Organization For Women Wrong About Governor Sarah Palin by UnitedNative

It has been brought to our national group's attention, United Native America, that you have denounced Shelly Mandell for her support of Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin. I'm sure you're aware that Native American Nations have been electing women to tribal office to include chief of their nation long before America became a country.

I can assure you tribal citizens, men, and women had concerns over their political stand on issues covering their nation and family well-being. This did not stop women of the tribal community from standing up and showing strong leadership and courage earning them the respect of the people. One issue or even a hand full of issues should not eliminate your support of a woman candidate for elected office as long as those issues do not interfere with family unity or defense of your nation.

Speaking as a registered democrat, drafted in 1971, now a 100% service connected disabled veteran I have no problem stating that the Obama-Biden ticket is not the answer for the overall safety or well-being and defense of our country, America. Obama's leadership skills are extremely weak covering social and national defense issues.

Obama's public announcement of setting a timeline of pulling US troops from an area of war, only aids our enemies leaders in alerting them that they should reorganize and redirect their forces and timeline to best undermine the stability of the country in question. An old saying in the military is, loose lips sinks ships.

I take strong issue with any group that sees Americans as just political left or right as to their being Americans first.

It is my hope that your organization's leadership would revisit how Senator Hillary Clinton in her campaign bid for president was treated by national news groups, Obama and the Democratic Party leadership as to their sexist demeaning actions and non-actions toward her as a woman.

Now, that same social political sexism is focused on Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin to include her young family members.

NOW is the time to eliminate political Ideology party lines to unite and eliminate social political propaganda, indoctrinated, sexist bigotry against all women in our society and government.

Below are two of your statements speaking for NOW:

1. John McCain and Sarah Palin oppose many of the rights and freedoms we have fought for throughout NOW's 42 years.

My response:

John McCain is the only man in this presidential race that has fought and paid the price for all the rights and freedoms you enjoy today as an American citizen! NOW in your political frame-of-mind, you want American women to turn their back on John McCain and Sarah Palin?

It sounds more like you're in it for the bread and butter tax-supported, party affiliated benefits to include tax deductible donations without any rush to achieve the national groups goals.

In your group's 42 years, it's a fact that the democrat party has been in full control of the White House, Senate and Congress for many of those years, and you're still having to fight for women's equal rights this many years later. Dividing women as you are, through political party lines is counter-productive to your national goal of uniting women on issues.

2. From voting rights to equal pay legislation, to authoring and funding the Violence Against Women Act, it was clear to NOW PAC that the Obama/Biden ticket represents the best team for the kind of future we envision for women and girls.

My response:

Obama has been a US Senator for over three years. He has voted present for the vast amount of senate votes covering that time-line. His time as a state senator reflects the same voting record. I'm sure you are aware of how Obama obtained his political start in the Illinois state government. In case you do not know, Obama politically back-stabbed his friend Alice Palmer. Instead of supporting Alice Palmer who is a Black woman for re-election to her state senate seat, Obama forced Alice Palmer out of the campaign so he could take over her senate seat.

Obama is an opportunist, street-smart person. His campaign is built on and spouses social class tax  warfare that in no way will unite Americans. Obama if elected, will have taken out three women for his quick rush to be elected president of America all the while not having taken care of or dealt with any women issues you spouse for your national women's group.
