It has been confirmed as of this morning that a Canadian Haiti Telethon will take place tonight at 7:00pm ET. The Canadian Telethon, Canada For Haiti, will air one hour prior to the US MTV Hope For Haiti Now Telethon that broadcasts at 8:00pm ET. Canada's contribution to the fundraising efforts for Haiti will be hosted by Ben Mulroney (CTV), George Stromboulopoulis (CBC), and Cheryl Hickey (Global).

Canada For Haiti will feature Canadian musical artists in attendance such as Metric, K'naan, Nelly Furtado, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Tegan and Sara, Nickelback, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan, and The Tragically Hip. Other celebrities involved in Canada For Haiti will include Michael J. Fox, Sandra Oh, Pamela Anderson, Rachelle Lafevre, Ryan Reynolds, Joshua Jackson, James Cameron, Norman Jewison, Alex Trebek, Mike Holmes, Eugene Levy, and Rick Mercer, Wayne Gretzky, and Steve Nash.

Canada For Haiti will be broadcast on the following networks: CTV, CBC, Global, MTV Canada, National Geographic, and Much Music Canada. Live Streams will be available on CTV.ca, CBC.ca, and GlobalTV.com. A commerical-free broadcast will also run on CBC Radio 2.

Funds raised from the Canada For Haiti Telethon will be divided amongst 10 Canadian non-governmental organizations. The money will go to relief work efforts in Haiti via World Vision Canada, Canadian Red Cross, UNICEF Canada, Oxfam Canada, Save The Children Canada and more.

Canada For Haiti will air at 7 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. AT/MT, 8:30 p.m. NT and 9 p.m. CT.
