Politicians afraid of offending Indo-Canadians? Well, only the Indo Canadians bent on Terrorism!
But then the past events, makes on wonder if they are in bed with them. Strong words by Barry Artiste, yes, but then what is the Canadian Public to think based on my Opinions story published May 2007, when after witnessing our Premier and other politicians attending a Sikh festival, which also featured the Martyrs who orchestrated the Horrific Air India Bombings. Politicians from all political parties were dancing and drinking and joining in the celebrations of the terrorists martyrs involved in the Air India Bombing in 1980s in which a Air India flight blew up off the coast of Ireland killing innocent men, women and children, images showing helicopters plucking the frozen dead out of the Cold North Atlantic waters were horrific, but not as horrific as watching our Premier and other glad handing politicians sucking up for votes as they all danced and waved amongst the crowds, as a Banner and colourful floats honouring those Martyrs involved in the terrorist activity kept passing by them.
This is sort of akin to American Politicians celebrating a parade for Al Queda and Bin Laden in downtown New York city, while other passerbys who lost loved ones, saying WTF? as they sit on the sidelines in disbelief.
Below is my story on our Politicians who attended this festival, claiming they did not know the history behind the Khalistan Movement, though the Air India trial was and is still ongoing in this Province.
In my view, these self serving Politicians will gladly Dance with the Devil for votes, proving once and for all Politicians in British Columbia are nothing but a bunch of hypocritical, free loading assholes, caring not but trying to deep throat as many votes from just about anyone within their line of sight.
So my original response of "WELL DUH "!! is accurate, but not just of upsetting Sikhs or Indo Canadians, but more so of losing their lucrative Votes, thus their privileged Political office, generous taxpayer Paycheques and public benefits very few in British Columbia or in North America enjoy.

Barry Artiste, good stuff, but but behavior, IMHO.
If politicians joined in a celebration of the killing of civilians in terrorist acts, that's despicable. It's the equivalent of politicians showing up at a KKK rally where they honor pictures of lynchings. (shudder)

To be sure, you cannot miss them there "White Pointy Hats" and White Flowing Robes, just as our Politicians could not miss the Large Friggin Photos of the Terrorist Martrys with Flowers festooned around the floats as they passed by these Politicians. Some Politicians stated to the media they didn't know who the photos were of, leading many to believe Politicians care not about knowing something about the culture of any of these ethnic Celebrations, as long as there is a Photo Op to be had.
We recently had Great Chinese New Year celebrations attending by many politicians, one wonders if even they, knew any of the cultural significance of Chinese New Year or the History. Most likely not, they were just there to say in Photo Ops, Ohh Look at Me, I am normal just like you, just one of the people. For me, I say, you Politicians are all a bunch of lyin sacks of crap. Yet for some twisted reason, the citizens of British Columbia keep voting them in, leading me to further believe Voters rarely study the issues and get to know what the Politician is all about before going to the ballot box, believing the Politicians on their word instead of their Political Parties past performance. Politicians know many of the voters are too complacent and are dazzled by flash and no substance, and like sheep jump on the bandwagon with the most most shiny lights and colourful balloons of political promises no matter how ludicrous, which is so typical in this province, and I assume by the state of both countries, is par for the course.
So perhaps it is a trade off where both the Voter and Politician wear blinders, except the Politicians Blinders are Gold Rimmed versus the voters Value Village cast offs.
Thanks for the comments Pep, you, being one of the very few readers who bothered to comment and knows the serious issues of Politicians and Hypocrisy in both countries.
I always thought of running for local office here, but being a realist, I know the citizens would not like to hear what I have to say about them and our fair city.
