NP Rank:
Candy Land Movie Adaptation in the Works
Yeah, I know it was weird when Ridley Scott announced he would direct a screen adaptation of Monopoly, but this is even weirder: a movie adaptation of Candy Land, as written by the dudes behind Tropic Thunder.
I have no idea whatsoever how one could turn this into a viable feature... and by "viable", I mean "decent enough for the audience to sit through without attacking the projectionist and each other, burning down the cinema and then swearing off of sweets forever and ever".
Lord Licorice, Queen Frostine, Mr. Mint, Gramma Nut, Princess Lolly, and all your favorites will guide you through the wondrously sweet world of your toddling years.
I'm holding out for Hungry Hungry Hippos 3D.

My princess looks so cute holding her very own edition of Candy Land. And who knows, maybe the movie will be something to see.

The beads have been collaged atop the 1978 version of the game board. The detail shots highlight the individual lands along the trail. This piece was painstakingly fun to create.
