In an interview with E! News Courtenay Semel, the ex-girlfriend of late Johnson & Johnson heriess, Casey Johnson, opened up about a sex tape she and Johnson made. Semel revealed that she and Johnson intended to sell the tape as a means of income after they were cut off from their wealthy parents.

Semel, the daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel, said in the interview, "It was either listen to our families and do what they say to get our lives back, or do it ourselves and sell this tape, work on our show. That was kind of our plan." She revealed that initially they had planned to sell the sex tape for cash but ultimately it was used as a bargaining chip when dealing with their families; "We used it as bribery on both sides of our families," said Semel.

Then the plan was to release the sex tape prior to the release of their reality show as a means of garnering publicity. She explained, "our show could've gone after that, Casey and Courtenay were going to make Casey and Courtenay happen."

Of the tape itself, which was filmed in Texas, Semel said "we laughed when we watched our sex tape because we were like, 'This is the most beautiful piece of art work we have ever seen in our lives,' It's beautiful...When you find that person that's literally your other half. We don't care to show this. You could just tell how much, how in love, we were."

The tape is currently in the possession of the Johnson family.
