NEW YORK CITY, Sept 16 - Deep in the heart of Washington Square park bluegrass music lives? Or so it would seem to an unwitting passerby. Today The Folk Music Society of New York a 501c3 non profit group gathered thier best bluegrass musicians and gathered in a park to share thier love for what else but bluegrass music. It was a fun time for NYU students, residents, tourists, children and anyone else who heard them play. Kids danced and most just stood, clapped and listened to the performers years of experience and love for music take form with smiles and skill. The "music weekend" was just one of many for the folk music organization which started way back in the 60's. To find out more about the organization and upcoming events check out thier website at www.folkmusicny.org
