CBS Cancels Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, Miami Medical, More
CBS is cancelling seven shows for the coming fall season. The network has not yet announced what will fill these vacant slots. Among the casualties were Numbers, whose reduced season has pointed to cancellation, and Ghost Whisperer, which was actually doing very well.
CBS will cancel:
- Cold Case
- Ghost Whisperer, which dominated its time slot
- Numbers
- Miami Medical, which never quite found an audience
- Accidentally on Purpose
- New Adventures of Old Christine, which may move to ABC
- Gary Unmarried
The harsh verdicts will signal to ad buyers that TV's "most-watched network" is not being complacent and that executives have faith in their new shows, though will doubtless disappoint some fans.
Also, the network picked up "Medium" and "Rules of Engagement" for next season, as expected.

I think that totally sucks that you would be cancelling a show that is doing quite well. The audience will be very disspointed to the cancellation. Why don't you guys ever cancel reality shows, games show etc. which are a waste of time. At least ghost whisperer brings something to the audience that people can relate to. In this time of dispair it is nice to watch something that makes people feel good about the after life. Everyday people loose their loved ones and to be able to watch a show like ghost whisperer makes them feel grounded and they may not feel so lost and confused.
