Charlie Sheen to Serve 30 Days in Jail For Misdemeanor Assault Charge
Charlie Sheen had two choices - serve jail time or go on probation but according to TMZ Sheen has chosen the option of jail and will appear on Aspen for his hearing on Monday June 7 where he will enter a no contest plea to 3rd degree assault and being serving his 30 day sentence right away.
It is unlikely that he will serve the full 30 days however; it is thought to be more like 17 days with good behavior and two of those days will just be minimal jail time. Once he has successfully completed his sentence he will be free to go and will not have to be put on probation.
Charlie will also be required to complete 36 hours of anger management before Monday's hearing. He's already completed all but 10 hours, sources say.
The charge of felony menacing against Sheen will be dismissed when he shows up in Aspen.
Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly assaulting his wife Brooke Mueller.
