Vicky Pollard - Babysitting

Chav - a term synonymous with Little Britain's Vicky Pollard and used to abuse the working class by middle and upper class Brits according to Tom Hampson in a report to the Fabian Society. It's deeper than this though as many working class people call other other working class people who dress and act in a particular way Chavs too. Very complex or just simple? maybe a bit of both.

Use of the word "chav" shows a deep hatred of the working class and should be stamped out, according to a left-wing think-tank.

Tom Hampson, editorial director of the Fabian Society, argues in a forthcoming article that the word is "sneering and patronising" and more and more widely used.

He has called on broadcasters to take class discrimination seriously, and compared the word to terms of abuse such as "faggot" and "pikey".

Mr Hampson is talking rubbish and needs to step down from his ivory tower.  The so called 'chavs' are the gangs who make it impossible to leave your home after dusk because they intimidate and threaten anyone walking past them.  There favourite daytime sport is to throw stones at women and children getting off our local buses. Being a chav is a status symbol to these types and the ultimate trophy is an asbo.

Any teenager who is not a chav is considered an emo by these gangs and they often partake in their favourite sport of emo bashing.  Surely we haven't forgotten already the Lancashire Goth Park murder.

This is not class distinction Mr Hampton but normal people being afraid of the lawless streets which we can no longer frequent.
