RIHANNA beats up by Chris Brown_ INCREDIBLE STUPID VIOLENCE!

The romance between R&B stars Chris Brown and Rihanna took a terrible turn over the Grammy Awards weekend when the couple was involved in a domestic assault incident shortly before the awards ceremony.

Both Chris Brown and Rihanna canceled their Grammy appearances after having a very aggressive public argument in which it has been alleged that Brown threatened and assaulted Rihanna.  The argument was witnessed by members of the public who called the police.

When police arrived at the scene they reported that Brown had already fled and that the woman, later confirmed to be Rihanna, appeared to have several "horrific injuries".  Rihanna was distraught by the incident and identified Chris Brown as her assailant.  Brown later voluntarily turned himself in to Los Angeles police without incident.

Police sources tell TMZ that when they arrived at the Hancock Park crime scene, they took photos of the singer’s injuries, which they called “horrific.” There were reportedly major contusions on both sides of Rihanna’s face, and her lip was split and nose was bloody. There was also “serious swelling and bruising,” as well as several bite marks on her arm and several fingers.

Some early reports claimed a domestic assault had occurred involving a weapon but it now appears that is not true.  The domestic incident involved Chris Brown uttering threats to Rihanna and she did have some visible injuries but there is no confirmation that a weapon was involved.  The threats were serious enough to cause Rihanna visible distress which prompted police to lay charges.  Chris Brown has been released on $50,000 bail.

Get the most up to date information on the Chris Brown and Rihanna domestic assault case at the NowPublic feature channel.

An official police statement did not name Rihanna, but said the woman in the incident “suffered visible injuries.”

Details of what took place between the two were sketchy, but authorities and sources said that about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Brown and a woman got into an argument in a rented Lamborghini on North June Street in Hancock Park. Brown stopped the car, the two got out, and the argument escalated. A witness called 911, but police said Brown was gone by the time officers arrived at the scene. The woman identified Brown as her assailant. [...]

The sources said the woman was Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

Brown, 19, turned himself in at the LAPD’s Wilshire station around 6:30 p.m. and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of four years. The case will now be sent to the district attorney’s office and further charges could be filed. He was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail.

“He was very professional and didn’t appear to have injuries,” said Sgt. Bridget Pickett, adding, “He’s a good looking young man.”

Update: February 10, 2009

Some Celebrity Gossip blogs are reporting that despite "horrific injuries" Rihanna will not file charges against Chris Brown.  Fortunately, if this is the case, it is not up to her as the state of California can lay charges even when the victim will not cooperate.  Whether reports that Rihanna will not press charges are true or not remains to be seen.

According to a person close to Rihanna, the R&B singer will not file criminal charges against R&B singer Chris Brown for assault and battery.

Last night, Chris Brown was arrested and released on $50,000 bail in connection with an alleged assault against R&B singer Rihanna Fenty. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you yesterday, Chris and Rihanna got into a scuffle while leaving Saturday night’s Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party.

A person close to the situation told MediaTakeOut.com that the scuffle was caused by the couple’s recent break up. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you weeks ago, the couple had been ratcheting down on their high-profile love affair. Numerous sources confirmed to MediaTakeOut.com that Chris wanted to END the relationship - but Rihanna didn’t.
What if I decide to drop the charges?

That decision is not yours to make. Your forgiveness does not excuse your partner from the consequences of committing a crime. As the victim, your opinion and perspective are important.

But an act of domestic violence is, by law, a crime against the state—not just a crime against you. If criminal charges are filed, it is up to the judge and, in some cases, a jury to decide whether there is enough evidence for a conviction.

If you are concerned about your safety because of the criminal charges against your abuser, discuss your concern with law enforcement and the prosecutor handling your case.

This is so typical for someone to do who has been watching his mother get abused by their father. . . . It's sad but sooooo true!!! History does repeat itself!!

seriously that comment sucked the big one. I watched that stuff happen to my mother for years as a child and i am not like that. If i see n-e woman being abused by her spouse i am there no matter what. I refuse to watch or hear of any man harming a woman. So that lame a$$ comment is totally uncalled for. not everyone becomes their parents. good luck with ur problems there, smarty pants.

Chris Brown is nothing more than a punk! There are plenty of talented people out there whose music you can enjoy and support that dont abuse women. The excuse that his dad hit his mom is so lame I want to puke! If anything this should be more of a reason NOT to hit a women as he has seen the pain that it can cause. I predict that he will get away scot free and go on to be this generations Ike Turner. I for one wont be chewing wrigleys gum again! Nor will I keep the radio on the channel if his music comes on. Next we will hear the next lame excuse that he was drunk at the time. I guess thats why he left the scene so he could sober up. He should be made an example of and have the book thrown at him. Jail time, maybe a year or two. Maybe this way punks like him will get the message that you cant hit women and get away with it!

It's too bad for them both. I hope Rhianna gets the help she needs and leaves Chris's butt in the dust. I don't care what the situation was that led up to this but no way in h3ll do you at ANYTIME lay your hands on a woman! I don't care if he grew up in an abusive household. That should be more a deterent for him to NOT beat on her or ANY woman. I used to like Chris Brown alot because I tought he was a good young man with morals. And my grand kids adored him. You truly made a total mess of your life Chris. No onoe will EVER look at you the same way! I hope you loose ALL your endorsments and maybe spend a little time in jail! You are less than a man and I  have officially removed your 'YOUNG MAN'S CARD!

Chris and Rihanna are very young.  In life we make mistakes. We can either learn from our mistakes or continue being fools.  I believe that this relationship has had previous issues.  Nothing just escalates to level ten over nite.  I pray that this does not destroy this young mans career; however, I hope that it will be a learning lesson for him.  Never hit a women!!

I agree, everyone in life makes mistakes. No one is perfect, and people are going to have anger issues whom cannot control their temper. Chris Brown obviously couldn't handle Rihanna, or she could be stubborn and have pushed him over the edge. You also have to learn to deal with women, I've been in a lot of f**ked up relationships myself and have come very close to "wanting" to hit a woman upside her head cause of how stubborn and ignorant they were, but I never did. And also if you're never suppose to hit a woman, what if she's abusing the f**k out of you, and you absolutely have no way of defending yourself? If I was in that situation I'd possible knock some sense into her. That's me though, not everyone is the same. Women are hardheaded and ignorant, and so are men. Women shouldn't hit men either, cause that's just going to piss us off and you never know how we're going to act. But women should be careful how they treat a man in a relationship, cause we don't hold anger in and can't just let shit go all the time. Same way for men, it's just the same both ways. There are times when men and women deserve to get the shit knocked out of them. I however, will not be the one to hit a woman. Unless provoked dramatically and I have no choice in the matter and my physical injuries and life depends on it.

You have sounded most reasonable than any other person on this page. The rest of them are just hypocrites who may hang the woman if she does as little as snore while asleep. Yet, every one talks becos it's Chris Brown. I really appreciate ur high level of maturity...!

That is a SAD situation, but she should still press charges cause he deserves to be punished for that.  Most guys who are quick to put their hands on Women are punks and thats what he appears to be.  Hopefully she isn't a weak minded chick and will move on.  But people go through stuff like this everyday so they'll be aiight.

Wow! Big time mess up, huh. But you know he is a celeb, so yeah he'll just get out of it . Chris should lose all his fans. He had know reason to beat her up (Who cares if he got mad, or drunk, still no reason to beat her!)

P.S: HIS CAREER SHOULD GO DOWN HILL

P.S.S:  I AM GONNA LAUGH WHEN IT DOES

HA HA HA!

LATER LOSER :p

No one knows the full story, so I don't know why people are talking so much.

IF she was slapped up a couple times, that's not the same as being punched with a closed fist. IF she has a scratch on her cheek as opposed to a busted lip, black eye, serious damage, then that's different. No one has seen the pictures of her from when the police arrived and we wont see them till trial. "Horrific injuries", "visual injuries" blah blah, until you see prove you dont make a comment. That's called ignorance people. That's what's wrong with this country today. You all believe any bull the news says when you can't seem to figure out that the news has become an entertainment industry and will do anything to get you to watch and talk. It's like Desperate Housewives with no written script. And the reporters are just as dumb as the people watching a listening to them.

If he did BEAT her, I have no mercy for him. But i'm not going to label him the next IKE Turner yet. Put him in jail, lock him up for 6 months to a year and have him on probation for 2 years. He would also need help because he could have a phychological condition from watching his mom get hit. That will most likely be his sentence. If Paris Hilton got off easy, that will likely be his sentence.

If they got into a little scuffle, whatever. Sometimes girls attact and you have to push them off you. He could have left, and she could have gotten mad that he left her and then call the police.. no one knows.

I won't make my opinion until all the facts are out. Something you all should do.

To everyone who truly believes that chris brown career should be over, I agree. Obviously chris brown(mr.punk) had issues that he couldn't solve as a bigger person, he took matters into his own hands and should take major consequences for taking major actions.  I used to think that he was the perfect young artist for upcoming artists and his fans as well, but instead he wanted to choose a different path.  As far cute goes, that is out the window for me and hopefully many because personality should means everything!!!

No one is perfect. He's a human being and a young man like anyone else. He made a mistake, beat Rihanna. Rihanna most likely provoked him. A lot of women/girls provoke guys to knock the shit out of them. I've only got into a fight once with a female, but I did not knock the fuck out of her. But she was stubborn and always causing problems trying to fight/hit/bite me, and I had to get her off of me. And she was bigger than me which made it a little harder for me to defend myself. It was my first three year relationship I've had, and my first black girlfriend, so I had to kinda adjust to her ways and she had to adjust to mine. She never deserved to get beat, however sometimes she deserved to have some sense knocked into her. Still, Chris Brown is most likely a good person. No one's perfect. Y'all are stupid for judging him and calling him out like that. Rihanna probably caused the fight, and he couldn't deal with it and lost his temper. It's life. Deal with it. He won't lose his fame. He'll give a public speach about not suppose to be hitting women, and how he did wrong, and how he is sorry, and then go back to movies and music. And he is a good actor and singer. I have not lost any respect for him. He knows it was wrong, that's all that matters.

It's funny how one in the lime light can be loved one min. and hated the next ??? why is that ??? because of folks like the ones who hear things WITHOUT RESEARCH. Not doing reseach before you speak or write things you hear or read about, makes you just a bigger label as the label you put on someone. People hear the news ... read things ... and fully believe what is there - if that's your preference ??? fine but to pass it on or state your opinion without really knowing what it true or exaggerated ??? That's where you show your own level of respect and intelligence - which isn't that tall to say the least. Before this news came out ... half of the people were probably fans and if you weren't then it's only clear " you're a hater ". Those haters can't even give you a really god excuse to why they are outside of your own personal things you have or don't have going right in your life. Get a grip!!!! before the fotunate ones who are blessed in the lime light ... whether music, sports, or some fashion, they were humans.

Just like at this point those who read this will or may take it that I supporting some reason or excuse to domestic abuse ... if that's you??? then stop reading this and do something else with your time because that isn't the case. Not in anyway shape or form do I support any type of abuse ... I do however know that if everyone has access to what I read about this news, you don't have much to go on than what I read yourself. If you believe everything or anything of this news, then you're probably the ones or have something to do with the news of how it was Chris Brown who was in the police pursuit in the white Bently - who killed himself ??? Case & point - I read severl reports that state a pakistan was in the police chase and out of the many different news of that situation, one said Dj Khaled was involved and another stated Chris Brown ??? you like believeing what you half know to state your opinions which does effect what people think and say ??? state them in consideration of there is 2 sides to every story or further research.

The world is going through enough major crisis where this type of stuff should even exsist ... I trully believe in freedom of speech - but in the order of the speech being as acurate as possible or even respectable indirectional. there are ways to express yourself than blasting or pointing the finger at someone ... especially the calling of names. really ??? those who have, my question to you is " who are you ??? " or " who made you the one to come off in such a manner ??? " I would really like to know ??? Everyone has flaws to where they should consider what and how they speak about someone or opinionate. Some flaws may be bigger or even out of this world ... hell, even uncalled for - but all the same no one is perfect.

That being the case ... understand you're speaking of someone livelihood here ... on both sides that can be effected. However the matter is really .. isn't going to help your livelihood in increase by speaking on someone else's. Only god can judge anyone on this earth and I don't know one person who really has so much time in their lives to speak on what's going on in another's backyard than to concentrting on improoving their own backyard. Like the name saids " keepin it 100 " - totally true. this is a situation where the real deal ... only a few people knows ... possibly partial - outside of chris and rhianna ... if you're really that in tuned or concerned try praying for the two instead of casting stones in anyway

hooold up.

Yeah, sure we shouldn't assume things until we get the details. But saying women provoke and attack men is out of line. Sheesh, what has the world come to. I admit women should not intentionally attack men, verbally or physically. But understand that men are supposed to look out for women, and under NO condition inflict pain on them. No matter the situation. I know there are fans of Chris Brown in here and sure defend him all you want, but the truth is the case was big enough for him to have a $50,000 bail, which, mind you, would not be caused by Rihanna getting a scratch on her cheek. Who was the one that did wrong in this situation? Rihanna? NO BODY deserves to be hit. I'm speaking from experience.

If it was the other way round and Rihanna had hit chris it would be different know one would bat an eye lid. fair enough what he did was wrong and he should never raise his hand to a woman but know one knows the detials of this story and what led to the assult. every one is turning on chris and they dont even know the full story. I feel for him, he is a very talented young man and has alot going for himself hes too talented and has alot of fans for this to destry him i beleive he will get through this and carry on doing what hes doing and being loved for it.

Keep your head high chris i still love you and so do many more XxX

It is not my position to judge anyone, we all make mistakes.

But if I am successful and as a result have a high profile, I must be responsible for my actions.

He has destroyed his career by apparently inflicting violence on his partner.

Its as simple as that. Yes we all make mistakes and it is for him to deal with the consequences of his actions. I feel for any victim of violence and as a result I empathise with Rhianna, but as for Chris Brown, he must reap what he has sown.

Dam this is just ∀ disapointment 2 the fans of brown and rihanna its was ∀ 100% wrong 4 chris 2 hit her but its also wrong 4 her 2 try 2 be so demandin ina relashionship if u in ∀ relationship u have 2 work with each otha but anyway face it we would never know the truth.

big woop he hit her, um news flash thats something between them and not the public. but of course since they;re celebs everything needs to be outted, yes brown was wrong in "assualting" rhianna, however what was the cause? why did they fight? questions only they can answer and only they should. Im sorry but this isnt important in my eyes, how many woman go beaten on a daily basis and things arent done about it? don't punish his career over an incident that only the couple understands. nobody should EVER interfere in the personal life of someone else, no matter who they may be.

so he was arrested and charged? okay now he bails out, goes to court and his fate is determined. big whoop, it happens on a daily basis. no biggie. ii think everyone should drop it and stop trying to make money off someone's crisis.

There is nothing that any one could do for someone to put their hands on a person. MEN please just talk them out get some fresh air and come back when she forgets and cool down. Buy her a gift to make it up back later on. LADIES do the same too. Live love one another.
