Chris Noth: SATC Mr. Big Engaged to Tara Wilson

Christ Noth, best known as Mr. Big from the Sex and the City TV series and movie, has announced his engagement to his longtime actress girlfriend Tara Wilson.

Noth confirmed rumous around his engagement in London, Ontario where he was promoting the latest shop in his Once Upon A Tea Cup chain that he and Wilson are partners in. Noth has said that he has plans to open shops in big cities in Canada and the U.S. as well. The couple met in 2004 when Wilson was working at Noth's Manhattan bar, The Cutting Room.

54-year-old Noth and 25-year-old Tara Wilson already have a son, Orion Christopher Noth, who will turn two in January. They did not reveal any details on how Noth proposed, and there was no word on a wedding date yet.

While his acting career is as strong as ever, it's his role as a father that he is really enjoying most. 'He's growing every day – it's amazing,' he has said of Orion. 'He's a beautiful kid.'

In addition to shooting a sequel to the Sex and the City movie, Noth also appears in the new TV show the Good Wife, where he plays a disgraced politician. He also starred in two of the long-running Law and Order series.
