Following in the footsteps of "American Idol" and "The X-Factor," "The Voice" looks to be shaking things up with a new lineup of cast members.

NBC confirmed that Christina Aguilera will be leaving the competition show at the end of the season, with a source commenting on her departure, "She is taking one season off for her music."

The "Dirty" singer's new album, Lotus, hits stores in November at which time she'll be busy promoting and touring - though the Grammy-nominated songstress plans to return to her coach role for the following fifth season.

Also departing from "The Voice" is Cee Lo Green, who's jetting off to star in and produce a scripted comedy series with NBC that's loosely based on his real-life relationship with his ex-wife and children.

Both Aguilera and Green will be returning to their gigs as coaches/mentors come Season 5.

As for who will fill the two remaining spots, NBC announced that it has chosen R&B hitmaker Usher and Colombian singing sensation Shakira as the new coaches to join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on "The Voice".

Earlier today, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt addressed the show's lineup change, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Usher and Shakira to ‘The Voice'. The addition of these popular iconic artists continues the tradition established by Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and Blake.”

The hit talent search show is currently in the midst of airing its 3rd season, which kicked off earlier this month.
