Christina Hendricks Named Sexiest Woman Alive
Christina Hendricks has been named the 'Sexiest Woman Alive' by Esquire magazine, an announcement that isn't a surprise to anyone who watches Mad Men. The actress has been the poster girl for the resurgence of curvy woman as sex symbols. The actress received almost a third of the vote, grabbing 30% of votes.
Hendricks will grace the cover of the May 2010 issue of Esquire.
Mad Men's Christina Hendricks has been named America's most beautiful women in this year’s Esquire contest, reports PopEater. The actress, who received a whopping 30 per cent of the votes, will appear on the cover of the May issue of Esquire magazine looking stunning -- although, oddly, more like a young Julianne Moore than herself.
Hendricks shot to stardom in her role as Joan Holloway in the AMC smash-hit Mad Men. Holloway is the femme fatale secretary in the show. Esquire has photos of Christina Hendricks, including the cover shot.
Christina Hendricks in Esquire
Christina Hendricks will probably win over even more male fans who read her interview with Esquire rather than just gawk at the photos; Hendricks touches on a variety of subjects, including her love of the male body, paunch and all.
Hendricks has other advice for men. The red-headed bombshell tells men to only drink scotch and never wear tank tops in public. Plus, she says real men don't have a Facebook page.
Hendricks, who is probably an expert at receiving up-and-down looks, says that she isn't offended when she is checked out, but calls it infantile, and hardly a way to attract a woman's attention.
"Which is ironic, isn't it? The men who constantly stare at our breasts are never the men we're attracted to."
