Both Chuck and V Have Been Renewed for Next Season, the Future of Heroes However is in Question

Chuck and V both have a loyal fan base and producers have recognized that and renewed both for next season. There was some debate however as to if they would be renewed as their ratings are not as high as hoped. However these shows are what are considered 'cult favorites' and appeal to a loyal fan base despite the numbers being a bit low.

NBC's Chuck really has replaced Heroes as the new Monday night drama, and now there is some confusion as to what will happen to once popular Heroes. The show has been declining in ratings recently and could go the way of ABC's FlashForward, which was just cancelled on Friday.

There are currently three scenarios for Heroes at this time. There could be a reorder of 13 episodes in the midseason next year. The could just cancel the show now and leave it at that. Or NBC could order a small amount of episodes, such as 3 or 4 and end the show as a mini-series.

With fan favorite Lost ending this year, TV networks hoped to find that next big show to replace Lost's success, but it appears no one has been able to tap in to that yet. At this point V is considered the closest.
