A fascinating entanglement of deeds and issues has brought together what could well be spun into a good grainy New York flick noire.

All this might not have come to light, had the Bishop not tried to thank the Assemblyman.

The Assemblyman blocks legislation to allow suits filed by clergy abuse victims, a Bishop tapes robocalls to urge votes for the Assemblyman's candidates, the atheists file suit to have the Church's tax exempt status removed, and clergy abuse victims join the suit.
