Claire Champlin, a Contestant on the Upcoming Season of Amazing Race, Gets Hit in the Face With a Whole Watermelon During a Challenge

Claire Champlin had to launch whole watermelons with a giant slingshot as one of the Roadblock Challenges on the upcoming season of Amazing Race.

In this preview video that has been released ahead of the season, Claire can be seen launching the watermelons before one comes back towards her, hits her face and explodes. It appears that when she tried to fire that melon, it got stuck in the slingshot and came back and hit her full force.

You can see some people come up to her and she says she cannot feel her face. 

Her partner Brooke Roberts does not seem that concerned and tells Claire she has to finish.

The new season of Amazing Race starts on September 29 on CBS.
