Classified Wrote Beat that Phil LaCroix Never Got to Use

Canadian rapper Classified released a new track called "Inspiration". You can see the video below.

Classified wrote a beat to which he never wrote lyrics. He sold that beat to an aspiring rapper named Phil LaCroix.

LaCroix never sent Classified a finished product, and Classified thought that LaCroix just forgot about it or moved on to something else.

Later, Classified found out that Phil LaCroix died in a car crash. This inspired Classified to revisit his old beat and turn it into a tribute to Phil LaCroix.

Classified, born Luke Boyd, is a Juno Award-nominated artist from Nova Scotia; he has toured with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and the Black Eyed Peas.
