Clueless Guys Can't Read Women!

The highlighted article below suggests that guys are clueless and, as a clueless guy myself, I'm not inclined to argue:

Some might think the results come down to "boys being boys," and so even the slightest female interest
sparks sexual fantasy. But the study, to be detailed in the April issue of the journal Psychological Science, also found that it goes both ways for guys - they mistake females' sexual signals as friendly ones. The researchers suggest guys have trouble noticing and interpreting the subtleties of non-verbal cues, in either direction.

That being said, life would be so much easier if women would try more often to use direct and transparent speech. I have personally received morse-coded signals flashed by the eyelids of wonderful women - and failed to decode them. Attempts to get a translation in english are not always met with the desired simple response.

I'm sure I speak for many, many men when I say: We sure are stupid! So speak in clear and complete sentences please; slowly. Explain everything with some care as we really do not necessarily understand it the way you do. Perhaps with a bit of effort we'll eventually be able to understand each other just fine.

(Isn't it amazing that people pay money to study these subjects? It's as if we aren't all forced to deal with relationship issues from time to time.)
