  Coldplay have revealed they will release an new EP at the end of this year.

  As previously Reported

the foursome were rumoured to have some tracks left over from their sessions for recent chart-topping album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends', including a song called 'Luna' featuring Kylie Minogue, and were planning to release them.

The EP, which is tentatively scheduled to be released in December, will be called 'Prospects March'.

Also announced was that Coldplay's next album will be released in December 2009, Speaking to BBC 6music Chris Martin said: "We're going to put an EP out at Christmas called 'Prospects March' and we're going to release an album next December to end the decade."

He finished by saying the EP had been recorded but work on the new album would start at the end of the current tour which ends with 3 dates at the O2 arena in december08.
