Conan Go Bye-Bye!
16 years ago no one expected Conan O'Brien to last a week as host of Late Night. Boy, were they wrong! The man is now even hosting the Tonight show. Revenge is sweet.
I first discovered Conan in late 1995 when I was 8 years old. One night I was flipping through channels and saw that Jim Carrey was on Jay Leno. I was a Carrey fanatic at the time, so I watched. After the interview was over I kept watching Leno till the end. Then, Conan came on and I haven't gone to sleep early since then. Okay, I'm exaggerating. I didn't become a loyal viewer till 1998. Still...it has been 14 years since I've been watching the show, so it is a little sad to see it end tonight.
Nonetheless, it's not like he's getting fired. He got promoted. So, the true emotion of tonight's finale won't be known till June. If his Tonight show is awesome, which is what I'm expecting, then we're just moving on to a new chapter. If it's not...well...tonight will be remembered as a sad day.

Indeed, it's a great promotion for Conan. I'm interested to see if his style will change when he moves to the left coast!
