Conan's Last Show, Freebird with Will Ferrell, Wife Viveca: Video
Conan O'Brien said his final goodbye to The Tonight Show last night as he appeared on NBC for the last time and as it was his last show, he wanted to go out with a bang.
Comedian Will Ferrell was Conan's first guest on The Tonight Show and he was Conan's last guest as well. Will Ferrell and his very pregnant wife Viveca Paulson, whom he called Dawn on the show, invited Conan over to the stage to jam with ZZ Top, Beck and Ben Harper, and sing a version of Free Bird, a popular song by the group Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Will Ferrell and Viveca made out in the musical intermission and Conan played the guitar like a pro. Will Ferrell even picked up a cow bell to recreate his famous SNL skit with Christopher Walken when he was constantly asked for 'more cowbell!'
The song Free Bird was a commentary on Conan leaving NBC and that now he is as free as a bird, will anyone still remember him?
Judging by the reaction to his last musical number and the support he has received from his fans, it looks like they won't be forgetting him anytime soon.

I really enjoyed it, Conan's last words for NBC were commendable and heartfelt, then the musical bit with Will was hilarious and it reminded us that Conan is also musician.

Conan will be missed as the host of The Tonight Show. Beck and Ben Harper were also jamming along with Conan and Will Ferrel. It was a great ending to a much too soon farewell. Viva Coco!

I'm pretty sure I saw Elvis Costello up on stage in addition to Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Beck, and Ben Harper.

Ok, now that I said that...I went to do some research to see if it was actually him. Apparently not. My mistake.

Nevermind. After some research it would appear that it was just a guy that looked like Elvis Costello.

Wow! Conan...What a class act! I would think that if the NBC Execs have any good judgement left, they realized what a HUGE mistake they have made. Here's a suggestion, no offense to Jimmy Fallon, but he is just NOT host material..Give Conan his old spot back...he was worth waitin up for...or at least recording for the next day.

Conan is ideed a class act and Will was hilarious, and his wife joining in well that just put it over the top for me! I need more COW BELL and I need more Coco-but please let's not make the same mistake over again by snatching Jimmy Show from him. I'm almost certain that Conan will be on another network with more creative control and a show that is better than any other he's ever done. I'd like to see him on HBO with the gloves off to see what he can really do. More Coco baby, I got a fever burnin' inside and the only thing that can satify me is more Coco baby!

Conan should not go down to that later timeslot, he deserves better now. Loved the show, farewell speech, he was tearing up and the concert at the end though I wish Andy were there. Leno will never recover from the backlash of Conan supporters, I a good number of celebrities stay away from him .Some advice to Conan, keep it like this, fun and not exactly product pushing, people just being on there to chat and and both have and make fun.
