"Unauthorized" Drugs Might Have Been Prescribed To Corey Haim
California Attorney General Jerry Brown said on Friday that the death of actor Corey Haim might be linked to an "illegal and massive prescription drug ring." It was reported yesterday that the police searched the apartment where Haim died and found such drugs as hydrocodone, diazepam, haloperidol and Soma. Today, the Attorney General Office said that Haim might have gotten the prescription that was "unauthorized." CNN reports that Haim's primary care doctor was not aware of the prescription.

"Corey Haim's death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription-drug abuse," Brown said. "This problem is increasingly linked to criminal organizations, like the illegal and massive prescription-drug ring under investigation."
The autopsy result showed that Haim had pulmonary congestion. His heart was enlarged and lungs contained fluids. Otherwise, the results of the autopsy were not conclusive and the cause of death cannot be determined yet. The toxicology reports might shed more light on what killed Haim.
The actor passed away at the age of 38 on Wednesday after what is believed to have been an accidental drug overdose.
