Corey Haim's Funeral Will be Held in Toronto Says Mother Judy

Corey Haim, who died at age 38 in Los Angeles March 10 will be laid to rest in Toronto, in his native Canada, his mother Judy told Access Hollywood Wednesday night. No date has been set for the funeral at this time, as Haim's body is still in Los Angeles undergoing an autopsy.

Corey Haim's funeral will be preceded by a memorial service to be held in Los Angeles before his body is flown back for burial, according to his agent. A date for the memorial service has not been set at this time either.

There is speculation that the once child star died from a drug overdose, however his mother Judy told Access Hollywood that no one should jump to any conclusions about her son's death and that just because he suffered with a drug addiction in the past does not mean he was still suffering up to the point of his death.

Haim had spent the last few months caring for his mother who is battling breast cancer.

TMZ has reported on Thursday that in the Oakwood Apartments where Haim was staying with his mother a number of different drugs were found, including hydrocodone, diazepam and Soma.

Haim apparently had flu-like symptoms in the few days before his death but at this time an official autopsy reports has not been released.
