Corey Haim: TMZ Reports Vicodin, Valium, Haloperidol, Soma Found
TMZ Reports On The Nature Of The Drugs Found In The Apartment Where Corey Haim Collapsed
TMZ reported the names of the drugs found in the home of Haim's mother where the actor collapsed before death. However, the information reported by TMZ has not been confirmed by the police or any other official sources.
TMZ claims the drugs found were:
- hydrocodone (Vicodin), a pain-reliever that is a narcotic analgesic
- diazepam (Valium), a drug used to treat anxiety, insomnia and addictive withdrawals
- haloperidol, an anti-psychotic used in the treatment of schizophrenia, acute psychotic states and delirium
- Soma, which can work as a muscle relaxant
Haim died on March 10 of what is alleged to be an accidental drug overdose.
Interestingly, Valium was one of the drugs that was found in the body of late Michael Jackson when he died of cardiac arrest in June of last year.
In 2009, FDA advisory panel advised to remove Vicodin from the market because of a "high likelihood of overdose from prescription narcotics."
TMZ reports that the medications have been prescribed on the same day, which was several days before Haim died. TMZ also claims that Haim took excessive amounts of Valium before.
There have been reports Haim admitted in the past to taking as many as 85 Valium pills a day.

Why does everyone keep bringing MJ up, he had nothing to do with this. I think that Heath Ledger had valium in his body also. Heath also had painkillers in his system. Isn't that interesting. The only relevant thing here is that these drugs all interact with each other in the body and when you are taking a prescription drug 'cocktail' the interaction of all the different drugs is what can stop breathing. If they only took valium alone they would probably not have stopped breathing. But then again he also had an enlarged heart and other contributing factors.

I agree why associate this man with the repulsive Wacko? I think its just an attempt to blacken his name. He was not evil like MJ.
