A group conservatives or some say white supremacists are upset that a black actor, Idris Elba is playing the role of Hemidall, a Norse God, in the new Thor movie based on the Marvel Comics series.

The Council of Conservatives has launched a boycott-thor.com campaign to protest what they say is multi- culturalization of Norse mythology.

It seems that Marvel Studios believes that white people should have nothing that is unique to themselves. An upcoming movie, based on the comic book Thor, will give the Aesir an insulting multi-cultural make-over. One of the Gods will be played by Hip Hop DJ Elba.

The boycott-thor.com website says this about Marvel Comics in general

"Marvel is headed by radical left-wingers who insert their ideologies and agendas into their comic books and movies."

The Council of Conservatives goes on to say that Marvel Comics has a history of being anti-white and pro-left wing. As evidence the Council of Conservatives point to a recent issue of Marvel Comics', Captain America.

In a recent issue of Marvel Comics’ Captain America series, the ultimate red, white, and blue hero is busy investigating (obviously at great peril) the latest threat to national security . . . you. Forget about Islamic terrorists and all that 9-11 stuff. The real danger to the Obama, hopey-changey socialistic utopia is none other than you. And, Captain America is going to do something about it! By the way, Captain America also thinks you’re a racist.

The substance of the boycott-thor.com campaign seems to be that there is no way "white" actors would be allowed to play traditional "black" roles so why should a black actor play the role of the Norse God, Hemidall, who is actually known in some references as the "White God."

Having said that, the roots of of Hemidall, and much of Norse mythology, is according to many scholars Indo-European, perhaps even Vedic.

Georges Dumézil considered Heimdall an old Indo-European god, a type of god he calls first god, which he also sees reflected in Roman Janus. But Dumézil sees Heimdall also as a frame god, one who appears at the beginning and remains until the end.[3] Dumézil suggested that the Hindu counterpart was the god Dyaus, one of the eight Vasus, who reincarnated as the frame hero Bhishma in the epic Mahabharata.

Branston (1980) considers Heimdall to correspond to the Vedic Agni god of fire.

The point is the notions of identity are not as static, at least for many, as the Council of Conservatives would have people believe.

Thor the movie is scheduled for release in May of 2011.

So I presume that these folks will also be demanding to reshoot all those westerns that depict cowboys as white, you know, in the name of accuracy. After all, most cowboys were black in real life. Wait, what? They're not boycotting the True Grit remake? Oh. Shocking.

Not sure accuracy would be a concern in that case, Jordan.

Any depiction of history sans Black people's true role or involvement in history, aside from the hoped for inclusion of negativity to be attributed to Black folks, may be undesired.

I'm sure Stormfront is ready to join the CCC in their holy war as they are often allies, with Stormfront broadcasting CCC events live at their website.

It's about respect for the Norse religion, people, culture, ect. Youanti-White Zoglings better wake up if you have any decency. Go aheadand research "jewish supremacy" yourself, there's a reason for thisfilth and it's not some negro actors doing. How dense do you have to be to not get who dominates Hollywood......

The Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC) was formed by and from the former leaders of the Whites Only Councils of the 50s and 60s, aka the 'white collar Klan', with the organization believing non Whites do not belong in leadership roles in the United States.

Idris Elba's appearance in the film period most likely represents an affront to their sensibilities, unless his were less than a starring role and more to the liking of that crowd as, say like, in some form of subservience to any of the main White characters.
