Craig David Comeback Song One More Lie (Standing In The Shadows)
Singer Craig David releases new song One More Lie (Standing in the Shadows) this Monday 15th March.
The song should see David back in the charts after an absence that even saw his Craig David Greatest Hits album not even touching the Top 40.
His fifth studio album, Signed Sealed Delivered from which One More Lie is taken, sees each track being a cover of or using the theme from a Motown classic. One More Lie uses the chorus from The Four Tops classic Standing In The Shadows Of Love and is a dance floor filler.
Over the years Craig David has become an easy target for tabloid snipers who despite David's success both in the UK and the US seem to go for him at every opportunity. Many believe that this track and the album it comes from is Craig David's last chance for a major comeback.
With remixes in the offing clubbers are bound to be stepping out to One More Lie - it might even lead to the original Four Tops version being re-released.
1. Craig Ashley David was born on May 5, 1981 in Southampton, Hampshire.
2. Music was always likely to be Craig's career choice. It was in his gene pool as his carpenter father George was the bassist in reggae group Ebony Rockers. The group are credited with bringing the reggae sounds of inner-city Southampton to the rest of the UK at the ends of the '70s.
3. Craig is a self-confessed trainer addict. There's nothing he loves more than a massive sniff of some fresh sneakers. "That box fresh smell is incredible," he claims. "I put them in a special cupboard in my dressing room. I'm excessive but never too excessive. There's four or five [pairs] of the same trainer - maybe that is excessive."
