Cricket Live Streaming Australia vs South Africa 2nd Test Day 3
BOTH teams have had periods of dominance so far this Test, but there's one thing Australia and South Africa can agree on - day three is going to be crucial.
As all good Test matches to, the game has ebbed and flowed, but the event of tomorrow will play a major role in determining its path.
After making 550, Australia needs to restrict South Africa, but the visitors head to stumps sitting comfortably at 2/217.
"Adelaide Test matches generally do bring results, but they bring the results late on the fifth day," Mike Hussey said.
"With a hot day in store tomorrow, we might see a bit more turn coming out of the pitch as tomorrow wears on and hopefully, maybe, some more variable up and down bounce as well.
"Tomorrow is a pretty big day in the Test match, if we can bowl really well and restrict South Africa then I think we're in a great position to really push forward and win this Test match, if they bat really well and bat throughout the day and get somewhere near or past our score, then I think it goes straight to being a really even Test match again.
"So tomorrow, in the context of the whole match, is a really key day."
South African paceman Morne Morkel agrees.
"We always know day three is moving day, an important day for us as a unit, so coming here tomorrow there's going to be 11 very hungry South Africans taking the field," Morkel said.
"This team always finds a way to fight back, you can never count us out, we'll fight now for the next three days and hopefully we can go well."
