Crista Flanagan is Appearing in the August Edition of Playboy Magazine

Crista Flanagan is recreating scenes from 60's-era editions in the nude magazine and she was thrilled when Playboy asked her if she'd like to pose as she has never been asked to take off her clothes or even kiss anyone she told the New York Daily News.

"I guess I haven't been seen as a sexy person," she adds, "and sometimes not even as an attractive person."

Her photo appears on two different covers and has an eight-page spread inside the magazine that will be in keeping with the tradition of Mad Men and will even include classic ads from the 60s.

Flanagan plays Lois Sadler on the popular TV series, but she has also appeared on shows such as MADtv and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

"It's pretty great," she says of "Mad Men." "People want to talk to you about it. I've been on shows where nobody wants to talk to you about it. I love the show, I love working on the show. I've always loved going to work there."

She brought her acting skills to the Playboy shoot as well and found herself channeling the women who had done these poses in the 60s. She wanted to 'capture an era'.
