Cult Of The Hugging Saint is devoted to the free dissemination of information regarding the activities of the group surrounding Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma), which masquerades under the seemingly harmless banner of the "hugging saint". This blog  serves as an alternative to the harmless media image which the organization works tirelessly to create.

This website is published and maintained by several devotees, concerned parents of devotees and others working to expose the dangers of this cult.

The original website recently disappeared from the Internet without a trace. The owner of the site suspects that it was an interception of the Ammachi people. There are several ex-devotees and volunteers working to get the site and all of its content back online.  The Ammachi corporation continuously tries to destroy anything that gets in the way of it’s carefully crafted and maintained media image. This site welcomes firsthand accounts from former cult members and the concerned friends and family of those involved with the Amma cult.
