Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 Confirmed: Larry David Returns
Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 Confirmed by Larry David
HBO announced today that Larry David has confirmed he will be returning for an 8th season of the popular show Curb Your Enthusiasm. As with the end of every season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, it was unclear if creator and star Larry David would return for another go at the award-winning HBO comedy series.
David was as sarcastic as ever in his official announcement that he would be returning to the mockumentary-style show that parodies David's real life experiences.
“After much soul searching — and by the way, it was nowhere to be found — I have decided to do another season of Curb,” said Larry David in a statement. “I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul. I know it’s here somewhere or perhaps in the rugged mountainous regions of Pakistan.”
Curb Your Enthusiasm Returns to HBO in 2011
The announcement will be welcomed by fans of the show, many of whom believed they had seen the last of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Season seven of the show ended on a particularly high note, as David, a co-creator of the legendary Seinfeld, incorporated the Seinfeld cast in a storyline that supplied fans of the 90s sitcom with a quasi-reunion show.
Many speculated that the Seinfeld storyline was the perfect way for David to cap off the Curb series. So it comes as a small and welcome surprise that David has decided to continue with the show.
Curb Your Enthusiasm has been nominated for 30 Emmy awards, and has one both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
