Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marioni are engaged and plan to wed as soon as gay marriage is legal in New York state.

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon is officially engaged to her partner of six years, education reform activist Christine Marinoni.  Nixon announced her engagement to Marinoni at the Love Peace and Marriage Equality rally for gay rights in New York May 17, 2009.  Nixon and Marinoni were actually engaged a month before the rally.

Cynthia Nixon has never been married before but she has two children with former lover Danny Mozes, an English teacher at Lehman College.

Cynthia Nixon's Speech @ ACTION = MARRIAGE EQUALITY

Danny Mozes and Cynthia Nixon dated from 1988 to 2003 when Nixon met Christine Marinoni.  Mozes and Nixon have two children together: Samantha Mozes,13, born in November 1996; Charles Ezekiel Mozes, 7, born December 2002.

The "Sex and the City" star has been dating Marinoni, an activist, since 2003, shortly after splitting from her longtime boyfriend, Danny Mozes, with whom she has two kids.

Her "Sex" co-star Kristen Davis, TV and Broadway stars David Hyde Pierce and Audra McDonald, and "Ugly Betty"'s Ana Oritz, were also there to lend their voices to New York Gov. David Paterson's same-sex marriage bill.
