Dallas, the famous TV show from the 80s, is going to get a remake by the sister channel to Warner Brothers, TNT.

There is still a big-screen adaptation by Fox in the works, but TNT is hoping to adapt the TV show, which would focus on the next generation of Ewings, mostly around John Ross, the son of J.R Ewing and Sue Ellen, and Christopher, the adopted son of Bobby and Pam.

As always with gestating creative projects, it’s no guarantee that TNT will pull the trigger on a full-blown series once the pilot is made. But members of the original cast β€” including Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy β€” have been contacted for their participation. Some, if not all, are on board β€” at least with their blessing.

Remaking old shows can be hit or miss however, as 90210 is doing ok in the ratings, but Melrose Place is still struggling to hold its own.
