Daniel Bark Arrested for Alexis Cohen Death

Daniel Bark, a 23-year-old New Jersey man,w as arrested for the hit-and-run killing of former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen.

Alexis Cohen, also known as "Glitter Girl", was run down on Saturday morning in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Daniel Bark is charged with death by reckless driving and fleeing the scene of a collision.

If convicted in Cohen's death, Bark could serve 10 to 15 years in jail. He is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $35,000 bail.

Mr. Bark is scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon for an initial hearing in the case.

Daniel Bark, 23, has been charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident in the Saturday crash that killed Cohen, a 25-year-old Allentown, Pa. resident. Cohen, a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol, was struck by a car as she was walking near the intersection of Bay Boulevard and Dupont Avenue in the beach town of Seaside Heights.

Cohen suffered head, chest and abdomen injuries in the crash. Bark was taken into custody at 6 p.m. Sunday in Atlantic Highlands and has remained jail on $35,000 bail.

The court hearing this afternoon is scheduled before Superior Court Judge Wendell Daniels, in Ocean County.

Was this guy under the influence or just not paying attention were he was going or was this intentional.Really sad.Such a young woman.Hopefully her mother and animals will be ok.
