James MacArthur Dies At 72 In Florida: Hawaii Five-O Actor Played Detective Danny "Danno" Williams

"Book Em' Danno." The popular phrase delivered by McGarrett (Jack Lord)  to Danno (James MacArthur) is part of television history. With Jack Lord passing away in 1998 and now James MacCarthur passing away in Florida the longest running crimed drama in TV history has lost its most iconic stars.

James MacArthur, who played Detective Dan "Danno" Williams on Hawaii Five-O died at 72.

MacArthur's agent, Richard Lewis, said the actor died in Florida of "natural causes," but no direct cause was specified.

In a career that spanned more than four decades, MacArthur was most recognized for his role as Detective Danny "Danno" Williams on "Hawaii Five-0," which aired from 1968 to 1980.

It's very sad to know that person, whose movies accompanied our childhood, passed away. Time flies. Despite the fact that James MacArthur didn't achieve fabulous career heights, he was still a good actor. He will be remembered.
