Danny Gans, the legendary Las Vegas performer has died this morning, after having trouble breathing at about 3:00AM.
It is thought that his wife Julie Gans discovered his body and called 911.
Gans is a legend in Las Vegas -- the self described "musical impressionist" signed a $150 million contract in 2000.
The Mirage, where Gans performed for years issued this statement:
"All of us in The Mirage family are deeply saddened to learn of Danny's passing. We all knew of his devotion to his family and our hearts and prayers are with his wife and children."

Danny Gans WAS Vegas for me. I saw him on Bill boards everywhere. I could only think that he was a great entertainer. Also because it said "Entertainer of the Year". Great guy, will be missed.

He was such a great talent, a man of 1002 voices.
And only 52 years old. Many are shaken.

My Husband and I saw Danny at the Mirage. He was awesome and you could see threw the performer as a very nice down to earth person. What a shame to lose such a good performer. We were very shaken to hear of his sudden death, we have also lost our son in his sleep. My heart goes out to his family.
